Specialization
Don Taylor’s core expertise lies in application engineering, with a strong emphasis on fixtured tooling, self-feed drilling, and tapping automation. As an Industrial Engineer by training, Don has spent over four decades designing, modifying, and supporting machines used across the global manufacturing industry. His hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset have made him a trusted authority in low-cost drilling and tapping solutions.
Experience
Don has more than 40 years of experience in the industrial automation field. From 1987 to 2000, he served as the CEO of Taylor-Westerfield Incorporated, the only authorized repair center in North America for CompAir BroomWade tools. During this time, he gained deep knowledge of the CompAir, BroomWade, and Broomatic product lines—establishing himself as a leader in maintaining and servicing these specialized tools.
In 2000, when Invensys Pneumatics (the parent company of CompAir BroomWade) ceased support for its Fixtured Tools product line, Don founded Airmachines.com, Inc. to acquire and continue manufacturing these tools. Since then, he has led Airmachines with a commitment to engineering excellence and customer-focused solutions.
Company Background
Airmachines.com, Inc. was founded in 2000 to preserve the legacy and technology behind the CompAir BroomWade Fixtured Tools. Under Don’s leadership, the product line continues to be manufactured and sold under the Airmachines name. Don has made it a top priority to ensure that all replacement parts and tools meet or exceed the original design specifications. Airmachines not only manufactures new equipment but also repairs and supports legacy CompAir BroomWade tools that are still in operation today around the world. This dedication to long-term performance and precision has solidified Don’s reputation as a reliable partner in the manufacturing sector.
